One Body, Many Parts...

A man once said to us, 'Wow! I couldn't do what you do!' I'm SO uncomfortable in the streets.

Then we find out what he does. He's a Youth Pastor. WOW! I couldn't do what he does! (Kids intimidate me a bit.)
.I also can't see myself with a prison ministry. (Closed spaces and such.)
...and Lord, please don't send me to China!

My point is this. As the word says in I Corinthians 12:14-18

       Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a
       hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And
      if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that
       reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of
      hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has
      arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.

The Lord has given us each a heart for those He wants us to serve.  We are not all 'eyes', or 'feet'. We serve Him in different ways and venues, as HE sees fit. It is not for us to envy the role anyone else plays in the body.

HOWEVER, we can certainly support one another. If the eye needs a splinter removed, doesn't the hand take care of it? Here are some ways you might want to consider helping the part of the body we represent (by God's grace):

PRAY! For us. For our friends in the streets.

SEND SOCKS... or hats, or gloves...etc. There is always a need for warm clothing on the streets.

PRAY SOME MORE! Prayer is what we need most of. Please pray God will continue to allow us to be part of this amazing ministry. We don't deserve it. We're not special. We don't know why He allows us to do it, but we are SO very grateful to Him. For us, life without street ministry would be so very sad. PRAISE HIM!!!
