Congratulations Pastor Evan And April!
Sam Huddleston and his beautiful wife visited The Homeless Church service at Ferry Park on Sunday, April 26th with a surprise for Pastor Evan and April. They presented them with a lovely plague celebrating 15 years as Pastors to our precious brothers and sisters on the streets in San Francisco. Although Pastor Evan and April never seek recognition, we feel they are so very deserving and are thrilled that Assemblies of God recognized their devotion. And it sure looked like Sam was having fun sharing the Word and some testimony during the Sunday morning church service! 2008 -- A Streetfire Christmas!
We're so blessed to be part of The Homeless Church of San Francisco. When it came time to take our gifts to the streets on Christmas night, all we had to do was join the "Night Strike" caravan with The Homeless Church. We found 60 folks to give our gift packages to along the route. Not only did our brothers and sisters on the streets get their usual fare of homemade hot soup and bread from the Homeless Church, but they also each got a T-shirt, a package of hand-wipes, a pair of socks, a wool cap, can of fruit, bottle of hand cleaner and package of raisens. Thanks so much to my sister Linda for her generous financial donation. We were able to bless many more people than we expected!
